Royal Princess still has tarnish
Ours was the first since the problem the previous cruise.
While Princess does many things well they are still plagued by poor staff help and continuous issues with hot water not being available in many cabins on all levels, but particularly on deck 12.
We had a mini-suite and found the cabin adequate and in good repair. The balcony is virtually non-existent and can not accommodate more than 2 people.
Due to dinning staff issues we only dined in the dinning room 3 evenings (party of 6) and spent other evenings at Horizon Court which was fine accept the new skillets to make access to food faster/easier only kept the food warm. The food selection was the same as past years (this was our 8th Princess cruise).
While our cabin steward was fine he never introduced himself and we only saw him a total of 3 times. Not necessarily a bad thing, but strange.
The bedding was great and the new auto lights on and off is a good feature, as well as the More movies on demand.
Princess excursions continue to be pricey but well done. Our day long excursion in Istanbul including breakfast and river front cruise followed by tour of a mosque and shopping was really done well.
Lastly the disembarkation in Venice was a total fiasco having everyone going every which way at the same time.
The ship is great primarily because it's new, but even at that we were not able to make one of our scheduled stops in Greece because of weather conditions. We generally arrived at every port at least 2-3 hours late, accept the last night to Venice.
All in all I'd give them a B- principally for staff and food. Less
