First time Carnival . Drove from Charleston , SC for a Submarine Reunion on board so of course we went . Stayed at the Crowne Plaza Airport as they let you keep your car there and take you to the ship the next day . Embark and debark were typical I would say . Depending on your timing it is 45 mins to an hour each way . The shipboard experience was what really surprised us . We had early seating and don't really know what we expected but the dining experience was excellent , food and service . I would put them up to any of the others in our Carnival Corporation family which we have been on a few . Every night the staff put on a show of dancing , singing or parades . Of course the youngsters were invited to participate .
The floor shows are professionallly done and of course to loud for me . The way the shows are done it seems that the 4 guys and 4 girls are all singers and dancers , no lead singers , and all very good . The one thing that stood out was the day they did the Towel Animal folding in the Plaza Theater. Jason the ass't cruise director had a table on stage showing how to fold and helping the kids that were sitting around on the stage . Out in the sitting area there were stewards helping those children fold theirs . Afterwards they had a Towel Animal Puppet Theater . There was a wall on stage with a ' Punch and Judy ' type opening with a curtain . The show started with four different Towel animals made into hand puppets in a state room . When the family leaves they come ' Alive ' . Very well done and the children , and older , loved it . All in all it was an enjoyable cruise . We will do the Fasination again when it does longer cruises . It is a very well run ship .
