Customer Service was pretty dissappointing

Our experience started off bad right from the get go.When we checked in we offered a credit card and they said they had one for us on file, then on the second day when I ordered beer from room service, they told us our card was maxed. We went to customer care and found that they never had a card for us to begin with. When we checked in to our cabin we immediately noticed no baggage cover on the bed, no beach towels in our room(which we thought was a change from the way carnival always did things, so we ended up getting our towels from the pool area), no ice in our ice bucket and we didn't even meet our room stewart for three days and when we met him, it was not actually a meeting because he didn't even introduce himself we just figured it out because we saw him more often than the other guy nearby. We smoke on the balcony and he didn't provide us an ashtray or clean the balcony for the first 3 days. On the fourth day we went into port and when we returned we saw him in the hall and he said hello, went into our room to find it didn't get serviced at all, it was 43o in the afternoon.

The dining room was also a big disappointment! The first night was ok, but the second night, "formal night" the service was the worst service we have ever had. It took forever to get our order taken, when we got our food the brought it and never came back, not to check how everything was(which I was very unhappy with the prime rib but couldn't let anyone know, and my husband would have liked to have more lobster, but again, they never came back, they left our dirty plates in front of us and went off to do their stand on the stairs thing while the Maitre' de gave a speech.

I went to customer care on the fourth day and told them of all our our problems and they were great they made every effort to correct all problems. They were very wonderful, they had the housekeeping manager visit us and they Maitre' de sat and spoke with us as well. But all in all we never really came across one of the service people who are usually so colorful and friendly and that make your trip special! Food quality also seems to be getting worse, although the Blue Iguana and Guy's burgers were very good!
