Ship Facts: Celebrity Reflection Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Reflection Deck Plans
Amazing ports, excellent trip

We flew into Rome one day early and took the Terravision bus from the airport after dropping our bags at the Hilton Airport Inn. It was very economical,E8 rt, and hiked all over Rome from the City Center. We had been there before and toured in depth but enjoyed the beautiful weather and the day spent in this amazing city.

We had heard so many great reviews of the Reflection and, having sailed on the Solstice a few years ago, were looking forward to sailing on it. Our one complaint is that the rear and fantail of the boat, our favorite place, is not nearly as special as that on the Princess on which we sailed to Alaska. On the Sapphire, there is a small pool, live music, whirlpools and lounge chairs. The lawn club on the Reflection takes up so much space and the little bar and seating area at the back is crowded and not all that comfortable. Other than that rather minor issue, the Reflection is beautiful, incredibly clean and well-maintained with wonderful and enthusiastic attendants.

Our first night we were shown to our table in the MDR which turned out to be the very last table at the very back of the ship. We requested a new table and were placed with two delightful couples in the heart of the dining room. The food was a little bland but of very high quality and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed the Oceanside Cafe for all breakfasts. I am gluten-free and gf pizzas, breads and desserts were offered daily along with well-marked entree selections in the MDR. We usually dine at a specialty restaurant but felt no need to leave the MDR.

The ports were amazing. We did book five Celebrity shore excursions....in Sicily, Athens, Santorini, Turkey, and Naples. The best of Antiquity tour and the Almafi Coast launch and Pompeii tours were amazing. We also loved the trip to the small town in Sicily and Oia in Santorini. We were exhausted but very happy with all of it.

One important commendation..Rachel, the concierge, was incredibly helpful in obtaining a private limo to the p and securing boarding passes for our return. She was wonderful with each and every person we saw her assist.

Re the entertainment, the musicians and shows were definitely a step below par to what we have previously seen. We don't worry about the shows much, but we really missed a mainstream singer and guitarist or lounge singer.

We have been on many cruises now and are considering a trip to the Baltic. We would definitely consider Celebrity again but also Princess.
