Ship Facts: Celebrity Solstice Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Solstice Deck Plans
Solstice Sept. 23

OK, just a quick review. I know that I looked on Cruise Critic daily and saw few reviews about the Celebrity Solstice.

Background: Late 50's..ahh! Cruised Princess, NCL,Carnival, Disney and RCCL. First cruise with Celebrity.

Overall I would give it a 8 out of 10.

We have done the repositioning cruise previously with RCCL and Carnival so we were prepared for the bus ride to Ensenada and check in at San Diego. Compared to the 2 previous cruises Celebrity actually did very well. On the Carnival Spirit we had the Worst bus ever. Ugh...it`was disgusting, you did not want to even use the restroom. This bus was very very nice no complaints and we were lucky only sat for 15 minutes in Ensenada before we boarded. Our bus driver was a good driver and took his time and I was very Thankful for that-too many bus accidents lately. And he did speak English-Carnivals driver did not!

Felt like everything on Celebrity was just a little bit better. Champagne when you boarded, public restrooms on ship very clean, pretty and loved that they had wash cloths to dry your hands. Cold wet washcloths given at the pool area when you were laying out, and sorbet on a couple of days. Always could find a lounge chair and enjoyed that they were padded and you didn't have to check out towels.

ServIce I thought was vey good. Our room steward was Excellent!

Dining room was hit and miss. Steak and Lobster Delicious, another nites NY steak Tough..

Oceanview Cafe..same thing ever day...kinda boring but they would cook fresh salmon, veal white fish and that was delicious.

We were very lucky to have Beautiful weather-a little rocky for day 2 and 3 but not bad.

Ship is gorgeous! Didn't compare to Oasis that we were on last but not bad-just not as many activities.

Loves: Martini Bar- they were so much fun and lots of energy

I enjoyed the Celebrity dancers and singers and loved watching Zumba every day!

Enjoyed both the Captain Club activities

Dislikes: Ok..Most Boring Casino ever... Only Jen was fun all the other dealers didn't even talk and the casino was very slow..

They sat us in the back table by the kitchen and I hated that table! Great servers but bad location. Next time will request a different table when I book. They couldn't seem to move us after the first night, Thankfully we Loved our table mates.

We also signed up for the Crusie Critic Meet and Greet like 3 x but still had no idea when they all met>??

Never got the invite or infor.?

Would we do Celebrity again?? Of course! Loved the 11 nights and the ports..ok Maybe not Hilo..
