Background My husband, 75 and retired, and I, 63 and semi retired, have cruised four times on Royal Caribbean over the past 13 years. This 4-night Bahamas cruise on Carnival Sensation was with our son and his wife to celebrate their 16th anniversary and her 39th birthday. This was their second cruise. Their first was with us on Navigator of The Seas three years ago. We booked less than a month before sailing through an airline's web site and chose it based on the very good price. We were interested to compare the two cruise lines.

Travel To Port of Embarkation

We drove from northeastern Ohio, staying overnight south of Jacksonville, and driving to Port Canaveral the next morning. After dropping our luggage with the porters, we utilized the parking at the port, which cost a total of $48. We did find the signage to Terminal 5 could have been better. Embarkation was easy. After showing our documentation and a quick imprint of our credit card, a security photo, and our first ship's photo, we were on board 40 minutes after parking.
