We are equal opportunity cruisers sailing many cruise lines, ship size, etc. that said we have also always enjoyed the overall excellence of Holland. This cruise was a mixed . First time sailing this class of Holland ship, it felt claustrophobic. Limited outside view as we traversed the ship due to layout. Just felt closed in. Bar service was wanting, as service poor, not set up as out of certain liquors, glasses. Hmm.... Cabins whereas fairly large also feel old......
Now the cabin and dining room service was superb and the dining room food good. Pinnacle a bit disappointing as Halibut sub standard and veal chop incorrectly cooked, service good but not warm and cordial. Night at Le Cirque was ok, I'd probably skip next time.
Main shows good overall. Three full shows in 7 days, lots of energy, great costuming, although singers only fair. As for other entertainment throughout the ship........ah, little if any , surprising as it left the feel of the evenings less festive, somewhat hollow.
Handicap cabin forward mid ship. We were upgraded, although no handicap. Larger balcony room huge bath, larger balcony. Cabin about 250 sq ft plus balcony. Great option for same prices reg balcony and larger. You have to be accepting of large shower only no lip but drains at perimeter fewer closets and chais instead of sofa.
