Do not hesitate to cruise with Azamara - they've spoilt us for any other cruise line. The Ship -small by comparison to most of the cruise ships you see (around 700 passengers) therefore, it's easy to get around, for room in the tenders, for service, seats in the Auditorium, etc. The Rooms - spacious, clean and well maintained. The Crew - Wonderful. Starting with the Captain who was always out and about (as opposed to many of the cruises where you only see him at the Captain's cocktail party. Captain Jason is a part of the whole cruise. All the other staff members are friendly, polite, professional and obliging. They go out of their way to provide excellence - and that's what you want, isn't it? The Food - 6Star. Entertainment - Azamazing! They organised a Street Party at Chania in Crete for 600 passengers. It was Spectacular. The locals (including the Mayor) welcomed and entertained us and provided us with a good understanding of the local culture - we ate their local produce including wines and witnessed a traditional local wedding (mock-up, I think) with the associated festivities. As an unexpected finale, we were farewelled by a 15minute fireworks extravaganza. What an evening, what a cruise.
In addition to this the cruise was inclusive of beverages (including a good amount of cocktails, spirits, beers and wines). Thank you to Captain Jason and your crew of superstars. We also thoroughly enjoyed your commentaries from the deck with advice on where we were, where we were sailing to and what to expect to see. It just proves the point - Good leadership and exceptional service starts from the top. Expect to see us again.
