Second Time was a Charm!

Sail Date: September 2013
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

This was our 2nd cruise on the Oasis, the first being 2 yrs ago, also in September. We had great weather the whole 7 days. A few clouds, which only enhanced our Balcony time. Yep-it does get HOT on the Balcony! We had MTD, and reservations for 6:15 PM every night. Service was SO slow the first night, we never went back. We left without dessert, after waiting 20 minutes for our Server to take our order. This was really the only Blurp of the cruise. We dined at Johnny Rockets, Giovanni's, Sorretos, ad Giovanni's, and Windjammer the rest of the evenings. Service and food was very good at all these venues. We enjoyed all the food, with the Prime Rib the first night being one of the best dinners. The Windjammer does get crowded, but Hostess were always there to find a seat for your party. Pretty Painless and good selections!

Bahamas-we sprung for the Atlantis Aquaadventure-I would rate this poor. It was Sunday, and nothing was open to get any water. We left early, paid for a cab More back to the ship. I would not recommend this tour.

St. Thomas-Coral World & Magen's Bay-This shore excursion, booked thru RCCL, was again, a bit disappointing. CW was under construction, and very loud. The workers were great, and very friendly. To me, Magen's Bay was not as beautiful as the pictures I had seen. This excursion was just ok.

St. Marteen-Booked privately with Bernard's Tours-great excursion! This was our 3rd trip with Bernard, and he delivered. Great time, great refreshments, and Orient Beach, once again, was beautiful and fun. This was our best excursion.

We didn't see the shows this cruise, because we had already seen all of them last cruise, but did see the Parade. We enjoyed going to Dazzle's Nightclub and the Casino nightly. The slots, as expected, are tight! But it is still fun.

We booked a Crown Loft this cruise and loved it! Last cruise, we were in an Owner's Suite, and it was awesome, as well. I think I would choose the CL over the Owner's. Our Cabin Steward, Jesus, was unobtrusive, polite, and respectful. The CL had 2 TV's, which came in handy, when Hubby wanted to watch something I didn't care for. The CL's have their own private entrance, with a very wide Hall, which was nice-no side-hugging to let others walk by. Absolutely no complaints about the Cabin, location, or service. We also had very nice toiletries furnished in the Suite. Loved the Balcony!

Twice on Oasis is probably enough for awhile. We might try the Allure, or another Ship next time. But, you will Love the Oasis-it is simply awesome!

Pre-Cruise-Embassy Suites in Ft Lauderdale. Nice, as usual. Very nice service and breakfast was good. The Shuttle to the port was ready when we were. We were escourted to the Suite Waiting area, and on the Ship in about 15 minutes, and enjoyed lunch at the Windjammer. Less
