Ship Facts: Celebrity Equinox Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Equinox Deck Plans
Classy cruise experience

Our recent cruise aboard Equinox was excellent from the swift and welcoming embarkation throughout our 12 interesting and most enjoyable days right to the slick disembarkation at the end. This is a class ship with friendly, watchful officers and cheerful, helpful staff.  We were lucky to be looked after by Daniel in stateroom 1154 and by Vincent in the Silhouette Dining Room.

The ship is beautiful and spotlessly clean throughout; facilities are excellent but spa and beauty treatments are very expensive. We had a drinks package with prepaid gratuities but otherwise it would be easy to run up a huge bar bill as every drink has a15% gratuity added on. There is a good choice of places to eat and we tried Murano as a treat for an anniversary celebration - lovely food , perfect service, expensive wine. The entertainment, with Jason in charge, was the best we have seen on a cruise. The core team of dancers and singers was outstanding and entertained us with big production shows, and other performers joined and left the ship such as a juggler, illusionist, violinist, singers ( male and female) - all high calibre performers. The only show I didn't like was Sin City which was well advertised as risqué but I found it smutty and vulgar, not the kind of show to be expected on Celebrity - I didn't meet anyone who really enjoyed it. The entertainment staff worked hard throughout the cruise to interact with passengers but were never intrusive. There was something for everyone, well advertised in the daily bulletin but if you wanted perfect peace that was no problem.

Entry to and departure from ports was hassle free. In fact, the only time I felt hassled was in Kusadasi when über persistent shopkeepers kept trying to persuade me to buy! We did a couple of excursions from the ship but many passengers went on trips independently because it was so much cheaper. We enjoyed the ports on our itinerary - Santorini an Mykinos in particular for sheer beauty - but any cruise on this lovely ship would be a treat. This was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday - Celebrity is definitely a cut above!
