Ship Facts: Carnival Sunshine Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Sunshine Deck Plans
Started very apprehensive - Wonderful Cruise

Very worried about this cruise after a lot of bad reviews recently. These people must have been on a different ship.

Boarding was excellent - no lines straight onto ship, although i would NOT choose to have airport transfer again as Carnival kept us waiting at the airport for 1hr 20mins which was why we were very late getting onto the ship.

Cabin 8129 & 8125 were lovely and very comfortable, no complaints .

Ship was lovely plenty of sun beds could always find a space for 4 people no matter what time of day. i even got a try in a cabana on one day.

Shows were very entertaining , some better than others but that is personal taste and nothing to moan about.

Met some great people

Have got one small complaint about inconsiderate people blowing smoke in my face when in the casino.

Looked at information for ports from previous reviews , which were very helpful and saved us a lot of money. Thank you to those who helped with info.

We did our own thing at each port of call using public transport were we could.

Marseille - we got a taxi into town 20 euro , then took the little train up to the Church - well worth a visit, great views.

Monaco - we walked, following the port wall up to the casino - Lovely walk but a bit tired when we got there.

If you are not going on a trip in Messina I would not bother getting off the ship. We jumped on a small train/ bus ride to travel round Messina then to the shopping area 15euro each - What a waste of money, dirty graffiti covered buildings was all we saw - not impressed.

Palma - You can walk out of the port onto the main road were you can get a bus into the centre foe 3 euro return- great shopping area.

Food on ship was great wherever we ate. The main dining room in the evening and the market place buffet for breakfast and lunch. There was something for everyone .

I'm sure anyone sailing on this ship will love the experience we did

4 people ages 55+
