Yacht Club: Definitely worthwhile option
Barcelona - Valencia - Tunisia - Rome - Genoa - Marseille - Barcelona
As "first time cruisers" my wife & I were apprehensive about being stuck on a boat for seven days in case we did not like it, so I decided to spend the extra for a Yacht Club suite.
We will definitely NOT be going on a cruise in any other way but will definitely repeat cruising with MSC in Yacht Club or other cruise lines which offer similar facilities and service.
From the moment we got out of our hire car at Barcelona Port we did not have a worry in the world. Our bags were whisked away and our personal butler escorted us onto the ship for a quick tour of the ship and the Yacht Club areas before taking us to our cabin, where our bags were waiting. We did not avail ourselves of the unpacking service ....
The cabin itself was airy and roomy with a lovely balcony with adequate room for the two chairs and table.
The Yacht Club private facilities were as described in the More brochure and website and the staff were all attentive and professional. The private pool and bar area were immaculate and uncrowded despite the fact that after Rome the YC was fully booked, plenty of space for privacy. Open bar in the One Pool and the Lounge.
L'Olivio restaurant is reserved for YC guests although it at the opposite end of the ship. The walk there of an evening was the most exercise we got!!! Talk about pampered, lots of wait staff and your wine glass was never allowed to get empty. The Sommelier recommended some excellent desert wine as well. The head waiter and all the waiting staff were EXCELLENT.
All-in-all the ship was great and well worth the money. Less
