Mariner of the Seas October 15, 2006

Our 25th Wedding Anniversary date was October 15 and after some thought a cruise was our choice to celebrate this special occasion in the Eastern Caribbean.

Embarkation began in Port Canaveral where we got in the customary line to board. In the lines we noticed an unusual number of large bald and bearded men with bear paws tattooed on their backs and arms and thought maybe a Hunt Club was cruising this time. They wore badges that read Bear Voyagers. After going thru the lines we came aboard the beautiful Mariner of the Seas. We had not sailed on this ship before so we explored the ship initially and settled to a drink to begin our vacation. Our room attendant, Yvette, greeted us upon arriving to our room and she was a wonderful and efficient attendant throughout the cruise. She made regular visits to our room and kept the room very neat and tidy. Our only complaint was that one side of the mattress on the bed was collapsed and uncomfortable. She brought a waffle back cover and that helped the issue. She always had ice in the evening and was very attentive when we saw her every day. She gets great reviews.
