We just returned from sailing the Celebrity SUMMIT doing a 15 day itinerary and we found it to be 'the cruise of a lifetime', as Capt. Theodoros Zakkas proclaimed it would be when we first arrived onboard!! Celebrity Cruises can be very proud of how it operates a totally excellent experience for it's passengers. We made it a point to speak with numerous other guests onboard, and the total consensus was that they too felt like they were treated in the highest regard. Even the staff repeatedly mentioned how fortunate they were to be working for such a wonderful employer. Now that says a lot...happy staff; happy passengers!! Some of the staff that we met that always made us feel totally at ease and gracious were, Predrag Pajovic, Fabio Scaglione, Executive Chef Rene Rojas, concierge Chester, waiters Jerome, Jewis, Jorge, Ana, Maitr'de Alex, Joe, and Grabriella at the restaurant entrance desk, our cabin attendants Ambert & Yjanothan, plus so many more others. All of the staff never failed to hail a pleasant greeting no matter how busy they may have been. Our cabin was very well attended to and so was true for the graciousness and adeptness of our wonderful waiters.

Truly one of the best things about this cruise was the highest quality food, meals presented daily!! TO US, IT WAS LIKE DINING AT A 5-STAR RESTAURANT, EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!! Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner!!! The selections and flavors were absolutely delicious; 'real perfection'; and We don't think anything needed to be improved nor tweaked...really!! The entertainment nightly was a real joy and delight!! The SUMMIT Singers and Dancers were so very talented and fantastic! They made you feel like you were at a live Broadway musical itself!! The choice of guest entertainers was excellent...especially Mark Preston...a real WOW!! Not so great was the guest speaker Jim Kennedy, who wasted way too much time gloating, self centered, and totally full of himself, instead of covering what he was brought onboard to do. I was not alone in my thoughts on this as I have found out from others later. I think he was onboard just to enjoy a free cruise with his wife. The one sore spot where some adjustment and improvement needs to be made about such future sailings is the Excursion Staff. It failed in so many ways, and here again, many guests voiced big time disappointment and said they would rate it as a total waste of time and money. We went to hear Marco at one of his sessions and he was not adequate to be doing nor giving any advise. He may dress very well, but he doesn't really know anything about the different ports of call...he only reads and uses adlibs. And he can't really speak English very well. In summation, Celebrity Cruises really made us proud and delighted that we choose them for our travel experience...and to be Captain Club members!! Again, this is a FIVE-STAR CRUISE AND RESTAURANT!! .Thank you, Celebrity Cruises for a job well done and for 'the cruise of a lifetime'!!
