Sail Date: Oct 2006

Sailed 5 nights from Ft Lauderdale Oct. 28, 2006, visiting Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios Jamaica. Arrived at the port shortly after noon, and were on board in about 15 minutes. The ship was recently "stretched" and given a major facelift throughout. The result is stunning. The public ares and pool decks are beautiful. Our room was an 8th floor large inside. Large is not really a good word, since it was tiny with barely enough room to get around the bed. The room was spotless and appeared to have new upscale bedding.

Upon embarkation, we went directly to Windjammer buffet for lunch. It is large, bright, and cheerful with a wide selection of food. Quality is typical buffet. We were pleased to see hand sanitation stations at the entrance to the Windjammer with an attendant to remind you to use them. Apparently, Royal Caribbean is serious about trying to control illness on board their ships. In the beautiful 2 story main dining room there is never any doubt that they want to please you. The service is excellent. Food is nicely served. The selection and quality are very good.

We tried their specialty restaurant, Chops, one evening. It is quiet, elegant, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but we felt it was not good enough to justify the $20 per person charge. The main dining room is just fine.
