Fun time

Sail Date: September 2013
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

Day 1 - embarkation easy. arrived about 11am. after checking in waited maybe 15 / 20 minutes to board. after boarding went to windjammer. crowds really not that bad for the first hour or so. room ready about 130. sailed on time and great weather for sail away.

day 2 - Nassua. what can you say , its nassua. didnt do any tours from the ship. took water taxi one way to paradise island for a inexpensive harbour tour. did a taxi back. ate at a great place thats by the trinity church called bahama cooking. great service and food. didnt have to take a cab out to fish fry for good conch salad etc. all in all not crazy about nassau but you live in florida and do 3 day cruises thats where you go.

day 3- cococay. had fun, rented kayak.food was okay. it seems that many people stayed on the ship since it was a little overcast. took a tender about 930 and no wait to board either.

Day 4- back home, cruise over. did the self check out. very easy. did self checkout with More carnival last year in tampa and it was horrible. in the car and on our way home by 8am.

this was a fun cruise, nice ship and good food. would i pay royal prices again for what i got... not sure. i know these are little things and they did not ruin the trip but for the money other lines have just as nice a ship, as good if not better food. examples... no lobster. sure it did not ruin the trip but hey other lines that charge less give ya a lobster one night. RCL should be able to spring for that. RCL charges for late night room service. again did not ruin the trip but other lines i have sailed didnt do this. no turn down service.... again not a big deal but its a nice detail to come back to your room, bed turned down and a little chocolate waiting for you. the main buffet closed up at nine pm. seemed a little early. park cafe had great little snacks for after nine but 9pm still seemed early on a cruise. As mentioned it was a great time. great ship but for the money you get many other little extras on other lines that will make me hard pressed to go RCL again. If your going on this ship and already booked dont get concerned you will have a good time. as for people who wrote the ship is showing her age because of rust etc. you must have no idea what its like to live around or in salt water. the ship looked great. was clean and the only sewage smell was when we pulled back in at the end of the cruise and they were emptying tanks.

the best thing about the cruise and the one thing i will make sure any ship i sail on has is an adults only area. this ship had a nice indoor pool/solarium for adults only. i seems i stayed in a room that was added in 2005. it had the shower door instead of the dreaded shower curtian that clings to you. yes it was nice to have it.
