we are a middle aged couple who have cruised only 10 times with 4 different lines but have found Celebrity more to our liking.Having been on Equinox and Infinity we knew the level of service to expect and were not disappointed. Embarkation was the easiest ever as this was our B2B, cruising the Norwegian Fjords prior to this cruise. As always met with a warm welcome and a glass of champagne, happy to be aboard. We were late dining and found the food tasty and well presented and service was brilliant. Our cabin steward Slyvia and her assistant kept our cabin neat, clean and tidy and always had time for a chat to ask about our day , as we did about hers.Without being intrusive I like to ask the crew about where they are from and their families. As I have said this was the second part of our back to back and can say the 2 cruises were entirely different and not because of the itinearies. Passengers we encounterd on the Fjords cruise were friendly and happy , not so much on this. We found people being rude to other passengers , complaining about minor things "Im sick of queuing " well hello there are 2850 passengers on this ship not just you. "I hate this itnerary"so why book it? and the best of all one woman commenting her cabin steward was "simple"How the crew manage to give great service and still do it with a smile seems imposible but they do and do it well.
We ate in Tuscan grille one night and were treated like Royalty and had a wonderful fun and out of the ordinary experience in Quisine with friends. Everyone should try this .
We enjoyed some of the shows and took part in some of the quizzes and loved the theme nights. We booked private tours for all ports of call . Special recommendations to " all around Italy tours in Florence with Laura our wonderful tour guide and Umberto who showed us a wonderful time in Genoa.Disembarkation was a breeze , our only setback was Celebrity cancelling our excursion to Windsor and drop off at Heathrow. We loved this cruise and thank the crew for that. We travelled from the other side of the world to do it but will certainly think twice before sailing to the Med. from Southampton again.
