The Breeze blew me away

Sail Date: September 2013
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

My wife and I have been on several different cruise lines and 36 cruises. Trust me when I say that the Carnival Breeze is a great cruise ship. It is clean, lovely to see and a flagship of excellence for Carnival Cruise Line. No complaints with anything on this ship.

Our stateroom (spa balcony on deck 12) was always cleaned every time to our high standards. The extra cost granted us access to 4 different spa rooms and the thalassotherapy pool, and 2 classes each....definitely worth it. On top of this, we had special towels, robes, slippers, and Elemis bath products. Plus, all spa rooms are "no Smoking" even on the balcony !

Usually food has been an issue on our previous Carnival cruises. Not so this time ! We had early dining in the Blush dining room and overall the food, desserts, drinks, and servers were all much better than expected. Quite good and very large portions as well as many items to choose from. The burgers at Guy's are truly outstanding, we miss them More already. The free lunch at the Italian specialty restaurant was amazingly good. The buffet, well....it is a buffet.

The onboard activities are quite diverse...water slides, water playground, ropes course, mini-golf, etc. are all you could ask for. Lots of neat places, with upscale furniture, to sit and relax or just watch.

The production shows are good. Nice LED displays. The girl singers are WEAK. They are definitely an area that needs improvement.

We spent hours gambling in the casino. It is spacious and modern. We did OK, and were granted free drinks while in the casino after the 2nd day. Thanks !

In summary....we would do it again !!!!!! Less

Cabin review: spa12023

Nice size with pretty colors and decor. Lots of storage, inter-active flat screen TV. Comfortable bath and balcony. Loved the quietness of the location.

Average beach at a man-made port.

Visually appealing. Don't miss old town, the castillo, or Bacardi factory, warning, remember to check prices on the ship before going...we paid 30% more at the factory.

Easy peasy to get downtown and just enjoy our caribbean paradise (U.S. territory)

Went to Virgin Gorda to spend time enjoying the Baths. This is a must for everyone...so beautiful. Take Speedy's ferry from Tortolla ( schedule and prices can be obtained via the internet before cruise. ) Do not miss going to the Baths even if you choose the ship's excursion...you will always be glad you did.
