We had a wonderful trip on the Celebrity Constellation. We arrived in Amsterdam two days early and saw the sights, prior to taking a cab with another couple from the Marriott to the port. We were checked in rapidly via a Suites line, and were welcomed aboard with champagne. Our wait to enter our cabin was not long, and our luggage arrived shortly thereafter. This was our first time on an older ship, but we found it to be warm, clean, and inviting.

Our cabin was spacious, with a very large bath and walk-in closet. It was clean, well-appointed, and stocked with frette towels and splendid Bvlgari products. We also had iced champagne (which we were able to have switched to white wine), fresh fruit, and lovely flowers. We cannot say enough about our butler, Keith. He was on top of everything from the moment we arrived. He brought us breakfast every morning, and quickly figured out which one of us liked what items. In the afternoon, he came with the tea cart, and if we were off the ship, left us a plate of goodies to enjoy upon our return. Next came the appetizers. He also figured out quickly which fruit my husband liked, and scoured the ship to find the perfect bananas, because he was unhappy with what had been provided to him to serve to us. Service WAY above and beyond! We found this same friendly, courteous level of service everywhere on the ship -- From the Captain on down. Our waiter - Ketut.M - and assistant water - Szlotkos - were outstanding, as was our sommelier, Noel. We had the beverage package and never had trouble ordering wine, water, etc. throughout the ship.

We found the the food and service in the main dining room to be very good, and even the cafe/buffet was quite good. The tables were quickly cleaned, and we were always able to find a place to sit, even on sea days. On the very long Berlin day, we returned to the ship around 10:30 p.m., not expecting any food choices. We were amazed to find a fully stocked and staffed buffet awaiting us. Even on days they were scheduled to end lunch service at 2:00 p.m., we always returned to the ship to find the buffet open and fully stocked and staffed.
