Just got back from the 2 night Bahamas Celebration.
We arrived at the port at about 11:45 Sunday morning Sept 15 2013 and passed through quickly. Did most of the paper work on line.
When passing through (on the pier) there is the ship's photographer. then there are tables for tours, dining arrangements both regular and special, and drink specials. We went on board a little after 12 and were sent to the Rios dining room for a buffet lunch. I am a meat eater. so right to the roast beef. DELICIOUS tender and juicy. Everything they had was fantastic.
The ship is not new but it is maintained better then any other ship I have been on. (cruising once or twice a year since 1985)
Dinner Sunday in the Rios, unbelievable. Everything was wonderful. It is a buffet style with the main course served by a waiter. There are also waiters walking around to your table with skewers of loin of pork, chicken, beef and sausage which they slice and serve watever you desire. This is beside your regular menu. Monday we hd dinner in the Crystal, which is mmore formal.
Shirt and slacks no ,jackets required. GREAT GREAT GREAT dining experience.
Gerrys Trattoria is open for coffee and snacks, but at 4 PM they start serving
Italian style menu. The antiposti -- I only had three because we were on our way to diner. The corned beef out of this world. Fantastic culinary staff..
The ship itself is spotless..Some one is alway in sight mopping, sweeping or doing maintenance. Great job. If some passanger accidently drops something crew, staff, or anyone else will pick it up. (it is gone)
I cannot say enough about the crew and staff. Everyone with a "good morning", is everything OK. can we do anything for you??
Do not miss the nightime shows. Steve Zimmerman has a magicians hat, the way he brings entertainers o0n board. One show better then another.
Don;t lose him Celebration.
For me as a florida resident, there is no better get-a-way
