There are only two positive things to say about our recent four day cruise to the Bahamas. The priority boarding was great and our cabin attendant was very professional. There were many disappointing things.
The junior suite is not an upgraded cabin. It's the same as a regular cabin with lanai on Freedom of the Seas. It's not worth the extra cost. You get nothing!
The quality and variety of food was awful! The wait service in the dining room was so inattentive that we gave up after two nights. The other two nights, we ate in the Lido buffet restaurant but only food from the salad and desert stations. The other stuff was school cafeteria food.
There was little real entertainment unless you are into Bingo and the hairy chest contest. The comedy act and one show were mediocre at best. There were a lot of intoxicated people who were most interested in drinking.
The crew seemed be very tired and unhappy with their jobs. No effort was made to enforce dress codes so some what we saw walking around the deck was disgusting.
The worst time in the four days occurred when they held the safety drill. It unorganized, lasted much too long, and worst of all taught nothing except how to put on a life vest. any of the passengers were drunk and loud so you couldn't hear anything. No effort was made to maintain quite. If there had been an emergency, we would not know what to do.
After standing the the heat and sun for at least 35 minutes, many people headed for the bars which were understaffed.
The last day was the most boring time I have ever spent on a ship. We couldn't get off fast enough. Don't waste your time or money!
