"Wakey Wakey, Eggs and Bac-E!" The friendly cruise staff smiles and sprays sanitizer on my hands as I enter the breakfast buffet. This happens every morning aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line. Last December, I chose to embark on a 7 day cruise with my family on a tour through the West Caribbean. And, from that experience, I've decided that cruising aboard one of the Norwegian Cruise Line's vessels is an enjoyable experience.
This tiny place is my room? Having cruised before, I knew what to expect concerning the room sizes. But the first time I saw them I was pretty surprised. Crammed into roughly 120 sq. ft. was two beds, a desk, a closet, and a bathroom. Thankfully, we didn't have to spend too much time inside the rooms. They were excellent for sleeping in but that's about it. It wasn't a bad thing though, there's nothing else we needed the rooms for.
The activities aboard the cruise were, without a doubt, the best part of the experience. The youth groups and activities were a great place to party and meet others aboard the ship. I was able to make some great friends that I maintain fairly regular contact with to this day. The most fun I had was singing and observing Karaoke. There is nothing funnier than two drunk men attempting to perform the entirety of Bohemian Rhapsody on a rocking cruise ship. Nothing.
