We travelled with two other couples who, like us, enjoy participating in activities on board. On all the other cruises we have been on there have been many opportunities to dance to the live music of various bands and vocalists. We particularly enjoy Rock n Roll, Jive and Cha Cha, although also dance some ballroom. Unfortunately this was difficult to do on Eurodam. The entertainment was more suited to those who like to sit back and relax, enjoying the music from what were quality performers. The best dance music was from Dianne in the Piano bar who was great - playing what the audience wanted, including some great dance music. Unfortunately with only carpet to dance on and very limited space due to her well earned popularity amongst those on board we could not make best use of her wide ranging talents.
Other entertainers on board had been told to provide a certain type of music and this they did and did well, but it was not suitable for those who love to dance. There were next to no other active things to do on the sea days. So if you like activity and interaction with the entertainment crew then this ship is not for you. However for those who want to relax then this may be to your taste.
Otherwise I would rate the ship reasonably well. The food was varied and plentiful, as you come to expect on cruise ships, although I would rate Celebrity and MSC better. We had initial problems with the wine service (the wine did not arrive until the main course was virtually finished but after we brought this to their attention, to their credit the service improved dramatically). And we enjoyed their wine selections.
