This excursion included a hike/walk through rain forest to Mendenhall Glacier, and a boat trip to look for whales. the guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and interesting.
We booked a short tour that included part of the city then went out to a cove to hopefully spot bears, unfortunately we were unlucky and didn't see any.
After being dropped back in town we walked to Creek Street and took potos then went up in the tram and walked back down Married Man's Trail. We saw eagles and lots of salmon trying to get up the salmon ladder.
Sitka is a small port (tendered), it is picturesque with lots of things in walking distance. We went to the Sitka National Historic Park and then to the Raptor Center. It's and easy walk through park, it has well maintained paths, the salmon were running in the river that cuts through the park.
The Raptor center is a rescue center for Eagles and other birds, again, interesting and informative and a chance to see these wonderful birds up close.
We didn't disembark in Victoria, the ship was only in port for a few hours in the evening and there were two other ships also in port. We have been to Victoria before and live close enough to visit as often as we want to.
