Point of reference: this was my 9th cruise with Royal Caribbean

Overall it was ok...but no wow moments or anything to rave about.

Embarkation: Was really smooth (arrived at 12pm) - Barcelona has a great terminal and infrastructure.

Photography: Neat feature was they usually swiped your sea pass card when they took pictures of you. Then you could go to a kiosk and call up the pictures they took of you and then you could order the ones that you wanted to. Was really efficient and didn't have to go through all the posted pictures to try and find mine. Unfortunately this feature wasn't well advertisec..I literally found it by mistake.

Dining: Did late dining 9pm - found that was pushing it. Also it seemed like the show times were out of whack with the dining times (usually there are shows for early seating and late seating) but that didn't seem to be the case at least not on this sailing. Seemed a little hap hazard and a few times I missed out b/c there wasn't a conveniently timed show.

Food: Pretty standard RCI quality was a little uneven at times..ordered escargot on 2 different nights and the quality varied (from good one time, mediocre the 2nd time) which was a little surprising.

Guest Relations staff: Really good, well informed and quickly resolved any questions or problems you had. Really impressed.

Crown and Anchor Service was disappointing: Usually you get a note in your cabin about the Crown and Anchor events. On this sailing it was buried in the overview section of the compass (and not on the activity list) - so basically if you didn't know to look for it, you'd miss the events. At the priority disembarkation lounge - unlike other cruises, no rep in the lounge to tell you what tags were being had to keep checking outside displays and then had to join the line-up, so no priority're better off going to the usual meeting place for your timeslot.

Would I sail on the Liberty again - yes but my expectations are tempered unlike other ships (Serenade and Freedom) which met and exceeded my expectations in terms of quality of service and cruising experience.
