Juneau has lots of boutique gift shops and coffee stops. Very quaint and super friendly people. Had a great time visiting the Alaskan Brewery store. Lovely parks...
A duck tour is a great way to see a lot of the area and soak up some history. Take an early tour so you can still walk through town.
The town has great signage for viewing the spots of local interest.
Loved being on the train, amazing to be on the trail the 49's used.
A train ride up with a bus ride down is a great way to mix things up. Again, went with the early tour so we had plenty of time to walk through town.
The suspension bridge has a great view of the river, plus a gift store, snack and coffee shop plus walking areas that allows you to visit a small cabin, a tent, various maps of the area and story boards.
Very windy in town! Hold onto your hats! Great shops and food, beautiful scenery.
So much to see we have decided to return in May for a long weekend, just to vist Victoria! This trip we made reservations for afternoon tea at the Empress, lots of fun. Great shops, beautiful parks and gardens. Lots of great places to eat and museums to visit. You can start at the Empress, then walk up one side of Government Street, then come back down on the other side. Lots of shops and eateries. Using debit and credit cards is an easy way to purchase food and items without having to worry about carrying Canadian money. The exchange rates using cards are also very reasonable. Cabs do take American $.
