We took the shuttle from the Hampton Inn to the port on Saturday. We were on the ship in less than 45 minutes. Room was ready by 1pm and all of our luggage was there by 3pm. Awsome balcony room with plenty of room for 4 people. Our 25 yr old son took the bottom bunk and our 10 year old had the top bunk. My husband and I had the queen size bed. Very comfortable. Great bedding. Our balcony overlooked the 5th floor jacuzzi, but there were never more that 6 people in this jacuzzi at any time. Very peaceful.
The food in the Gathering was really pretty bad, except for the made to order omlettes in the morning. For lunch we used the sandwich grill, the pasta bar and the Tandoori Station. These were all More quite good. Main dining room was also a bit of a disappointment, but the one night we went to the Steakhouse, we had an awesome dinner.
Nassau, San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk were all beautiful stops. We went to Cabbage Beach in Nassau and hung out in the water for a few hours. $4.00 cab ride there and back. San Juan we took a "city tours" on a shuttle bus outside the cruise port. this was a rip off. For $20.00 pp they drove us by some residentials aprtment buildings, stopped at a convenience store and drove by the fort! We got off at the fort and cut our losses. We toured the fort for awhile and walked back to the ship. St Thomas was the best, took a snorkel and sail on the Fury with Captain Mike. 4.5 hours of pure fun! This was the best place to shop as well. On Grand Turk we took a power boat to the reef to snorkel, and to play with the stingrays. Again, an incredible trip!
The entertainment was the best I have seen on a cruise ship. The dance show was very professional and not the normal "high school" review you normally see on these ships. comedians were very good. My older son spent a lot of time at the casino and we loved hanging out at the pools. Only felt a bit crowded on the first at sea day. No problems on the other days. It did take a really long time to get everyone off the ship at San Juan, but didn't seem too bad on any of the other days.
We had a great time and I would definitely take this cruiase again. lots of diverse people on the ship. Many young people and families. Really liked this, as we once took a Princess cruise and everyone was 60-80. This suited our family and my kids much more. There was always lots to do and a "fun' atmosphere. Less

Paid $50.00 pp to go to swim with the stingrays and then snorkel at the reef. Worth every penny! This was the most fun of all of the stops. The water was unbelievable! Shopping was more limited here than St. Thomas, but better than Nassau and San Juan.
Took a cab to Cabbage Beach and had a great time. We were not impressed with the Straw Market. Thought it was just junk. Loved the water.
Horrible waste of money. Got on a shuttle bus at the pier to go to the fort and do a "city tour". We got off at the fort and walked back to ship. This was $80.00 for four of us and was a total waste. just take a cab to fort on your own.. The fort was very interesting and dramatic.
Went on Captain Mike's the Fury. Awsome sailboat ride to Buck Island where we snorkeled with the turtles. Great trip. We went back and did some shopping. One of the best stops!
