Carnival Triumph: August 2013

Sail Date: August 2013
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Galveston

Smokers are relegated to dark corners. The Lido deck is no longer half smoking; smokers are granted 4 tables on Deck 10 beside the DJ, 3 stools in the Casino Bar, and the dark cavern of the closed Valencia Bar. Triumph is extremely hostile to smokers.

The pool was an absolute R rated MTV disgrace. The thong clad young girls were emulating pole dancers in front of families with toddlers and young teens. Carnival made no effort to tone this down.

Our party reserved 2 wheelchairs for pickup at curbside on embarkation; they weren't there, and no one even knew they were supposed to be. The same thing happened on debarkation.

We had a suite on this trip, and the accommodations were good; We didn't use the Jacuzzi, but the huge shower with a bench was very nice.

The room steward was a little surly about our desire to have the balcony door open all the time. Room service was good.

We probably will not sail on Triumph again Less
