This was our second cruise with Norwegian in the past year and overall. The last ship we went on was the Jewel and we had a great time. This ship is advertised as a Nickelodeon Cruise yet they only had maybe one Nick themed activity per day.

The Broadway themed shows I'm sure were great but we only got to see Burn the Floor which was a ballroom dance show and a we got to see the comedy magician. Both shows were great but the dance show played for the first 2 or 3 nights, then the next show was Rock of Ages which wasn't for kids and that show played for a couple of nights also. They had no variety at all and you had to make reservations for each show! If you didn't know in advance about the shows and tried to book them last minute or the night before when you got the daily itinerary, then chances are the show was already fully booked.

The food in the Garden Cafe was very disappointing. They didn't have much of a selection and pretty much had the same selection of food More every night. On our last cruise on the Jewel the Garden Cafe had a large selection of food and was different every night. On the Breakaway, we were looking forward to having eggs benedict every morning for breakfast because it was so good on the Jewel. Again we were disappointed. It was barely warm and the hollandaise sauce was cold so it cooled the eggs down.

The kids Splash academy was horrible. My kids begged us not to send them back there and they went for less than an hour. For a cruise that is based for families, they sure had a lot of restrictions for kids. If you go without kids then I'm sure you can have a good time but if you have kids you're better off going on the Jewel or better yet the Disney Cruise Line! Less

Cabin review: Family Balcony Stateroom

Our cabin was a bit small with a small balcony. Have to use your key card to get power in your cabin.

Port and Shore Excursions

Just like the caves we took the bus to this place and paid admission there because much cheaper and it was great for kids.

Crystal Caves

We saved a lot of money on this by just getting a bus pass for the day which is good for the ferry as well and taking the ferry from the ship to St. George then the bus to the caves and paying admission there. It was an amazing place to see.

Dolphin Encounter

Best part of our whole cruise!

Glass Bottom Boat

The tour guides were very friendly and informative. They took us to a nice area to go snorkeling and we had a great time.

Snorkeling

We did snorkeling as part of the glass bottom boat tour and it was great. Nice spot they take you to.
