Ship Facts: Rhapsody of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Rhapsody of the Seas Deck Plans
Excellent Experience Aboard Rhapsody to Alaska

We recently cruised on Rhapsody with our son (12) and both in-laws. Had Royal Suite and two Jr Suites. Overall - an excellent cruise experience.

This ship leaves for Alaska out of Seattle. Check in at port was very efficient and did not take more than 15 minutes total to board. Staff was as normal - very warm and welcoming.

Our stops were at Juneau, Skagway and Victoria. Ship also cruised the inside passage and Tracy Arm Fjord. The ports are excellent stops with much to do at Juneau and Victoria - a bit less at Skagway but the train excursion up the mountain is very enjoyable and scenic. Victoria is the last stop and is a real gem.

The highlight of the cruise was the glacier stop. Depending on weather they cannot always get in due to ice, etc. We were lucky- Capt came just up to the glacier, turned in rotation three times and we saw the glacier calf - it was an experience of a lifetime. The cruise in is well worth waking up about 6AM to catch the entire experience. Truly one of the best experiences we have had cruising.

Service was excellent. Prof and Vicky in the dining room made the cruise for our son - two of the best waiters we have ever had. Albert, the Head Waiter was one of the best as well. Dining service was great and food quality was good.

We also did Chops and Giovannis (twice). Both were some of the best dining experiences we have had on Royal Car (and we are Diamond). Darioushe the speciality dining manager was beyond attentive - he was incredible. All in all - food service and dining could not have been any better - 5 out o 5.

Only blemish was casino staff - we gamble 3 to 4 times per cruise and the staff was not very friendly compared to other Royal Car cruises we have cruised. Almost seemed to resent if you were winning. And we tip very well.

Entertainment was excellent -whether in the atrium or theatre.

Would definitely book on this ship and itin again.
