Norwegian Breakaway Ship
We just sailed on the Norwegian Breakaway ship. If you are non-smoker...this is not the cruise for you. The design of the ship allows the smoke from the casino to spread throughout all the other open areas. The casino on deck 7 surrounded by the open stairwell so the smoke floats between decks 6,7 and 8...its awful!!! They told us that you are only allowed to smoke on deck 7 however several people we smoking 3 doors down from our room on deck 10.
The buffet food on the ship is adequate ...the restaurants are excellent...especially Cagney's and Le Bistro. The Ocean Blue was not worth the money.
Please explore the ship...we asked several staff members were the adults section was and they keep telling us to go to the large pool in the middle of the ship. The adult section is behind the arcade..HIDDEN!! However, it's awesome. it has 2 large hot tubs, lots of lounge chairs, a movie screen, music and a BAR!! The best part about the ADULT SECTION...no KIDS. There were 4600 More passengers this past week...1600 were kids this past week.
There is another place on the ship called THE HAVEN...it has a bar...hot tub and lots of really comfortable chairs...however it was completely sold out. Yes..you have to pay extra to go into THE HAVEN.
On this ship you have to pay extra for a lot of things...restaurants, the shows, the haven, the spa area where they have a sauna, steam room, salt room...the cost is $200 for the week or $30 for the day but you have to have had a treatment to get that price. You'd think if I had a massage, there wouldn't be an extra charge...but there is!
Overall the cruise to Bermuda was awesome...the Island is really beautiful.
I'd give this ship a 7 out of 10! Less
