Honest Pro / Cons of Norwegian Breakaway sail date August 18th

Sail Date: August 2013
Destination: Bermuda
Embarkation: New York (Manhattan)

I felt the need to write this after reading 10's of reviews prior to sailing. Now that we are back I wanted to share an unbiased pro / con list for you:

Net net it was an OK cruise. Wasnt as terrible as some made it out to be nor was it as good as many would expect given the newness and size of the ship.

Pros: New ship...clean; service was excellent by all staff; entertainment/shows were great; food in speciality restaurants was above average and the buffet was decent, much better then most of the reviews i read; getting on and off the ship was fairly easy.

Cons: VERY crowded. the ship design was geared more for 3,000 people, not 4,000, plus staff. The ship felt small.........they shouldn't have made 24+ places to eat and moved the buffet down a few levels and made more pool space for people. Many people were just plain rude.......if you see someone waiting for an elevator, dont just run ahead of them when it comes.......idiots. The ship didnt feel like the More 8th largest in the world. Because they put sooo many options in the ship every area felt crowded.

Many of the restaurants were overlap in type of food.......also, they nickel and dime you for everything. I get charging for things so people to abuse the free stuff but honestly, kids and adults would stop and think if a video game costs 50 cents or $2.00 it would accomplish the same control. The prices for what they charged you for was my main issue, not WHAT they charged you for.

The cabin was nice, a bit small as everyone says, bathroom was good, but how long are you really in the room??? Less
