Norwegian Fjords on Ryndam
Destination: Baltic Sea
We had opted for open dining which meant we could eat when (and we thought) where we liked. We therefore booked a restaurant for the first evening. We duly arrived, had a lovely meal with wine and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We were therefore surprised to receive a More $25 each, supplement on our bill. We queried this and were told that we had to pay a supplement every time we ate outside the main dining room, we had not come across this before and were a bit annoyed because there wasn't anything to tell us about this in any of our literature or booking information. Anyway we got over that and continued to enjoy all the dining experiences on the ship.
We organised out own excursions in the ports as we thought the ship prices were really expensive e.g. a bus tour around Oslo cost us about £28 whereas the ship price was about £190.
This was a smaller ship than we had been on before but we found it extremely pleasant, good food and excellent entertainment.
I would try and get a cruise stating in Scotland next time as we had to drive from Edinburgh to Dover, we did get free parking though. Less
Cabin review: G555 Large Ocean-View Stateroom
Good cabin, spacious and everything we needed. If you are fat the bathroom might be a bit of a squeeze. Unrestricted view from porthole, quiet location near to lifts and stairs. Close to promenade decks so very convenient.Read All Large Ocean-View Stateroom (G) Reviews >>
