Went with a group of friends and family, all age ranges. Members in our group were staying in all different types of cabins. The happiest people in our group were staying in cheaper inside cabins. They had low expectations, and didn't expect very much in the way of service. Our cousins stayed in the suites, and they were not pleased at all. Their butler wasn't around much, and they felt it wasn't worth the extra money.
FOOD SERVICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD:
Most everyone in the group felt we had better service on Royal Caribbean. On most nights the dining room service was slow, and the staff wasn't very happy. They seemed overworked and tired. Some couples would leave and go up to the buffet. Food on the buffet was served warm, not hot. Selection of food items was not that great.
Very expensive. So we took a taxi (a big van) and toured the island. Saved lots of money by going on our own. The taxi driver was very friendly and gave us a beautiful tour of Bermuda.
Production shows were very loud, and the band playing by the pool was so loud I couldn't even talk with anyone. Also, there was no where to sit by the pool. Not enough chairs for the large crowd -- way too many people on this ship. Someone said the entertainment budget had been cut, so there was less live music on this cruise.
We booked a cabin with a balcony about 8 months in advance. Our neighbors in the cabin next door booked a couple of weeks before the cruise. Their fare was much lower than ours, and they got a beverage package as a bonus. If we had waited, our cruise would have been less money. I would never book in advance again.
