I was surprised when the canal boat captain said that they are students and provide the service for free in the hope that passengers will leave them a tip. Not very professional.
Interesting walk through the town. Very quite on a Sunday morning.
The open air museum (similar to the Danish one in Arhus) was quite lovely. It is set in the forest. The site contains buildings from around Finland and give you a flavour of Finnish life. All the signs and descriptions were also in English.
This church had such a beautiful interior. It was well worth visiting.
Not very good. We stopped in Vaxholm first. We took a brief walk to a restaurant where you could buy a coffee and dessert. Then we took a ferry for 5 minutes. Then drove across an island and took another ferry for 2 minutes. A lunch was provided at a restaurant. The food was good. We stopped at a porcelain factor that was really an outlet, not a factory.
