Outstanding value for money. Have you ever tried filling a 15 year old boy's stomach? This cruise did! There really is delicious food 24 hours of the day. The Garden Cafe was amazing and had free soft drinks virtually all day and night. The 'children' were able to drink apple and orange juice for breakfast and extremely refreshing flavoured water and lemonade filled with ice cold ice at all other times. With free coffee, tea and hot chocolate available too we saved an absolute fortune not having to purchase drinks constantly. We actually chose the lemonade over our usual coke and fanta which we would have had to pay for. We wouldn't have minded paying for the drinks and went fully expecting to but we were blown away by how much was free on the ship, for example, the ice cream machine wasn't just ice cream, there were sauces and toppings too. We aren't a greedy family but it has made us realise how much a family of 4 spends on holiday buying just drinks, snacks and ice creams. As our 'spending money' was vastly reduced it made the cruise extremely good value.
The shows were AMAZING!! The show on the last night was West End standard!!
The ports (Greek Isles) we visited were perfect for our teenagers. 2 were by tender boat, making it more interesting for them, the cable car at Santorini again was an added bonus for them and every place was bustling with little streets full of shops for them to shop in.
The only (tiny) criticism I have is that the pool area was busy during the days at sea. This didn't bother us that much as we don't need to be constantly watching the 'children' and need sun beds right next to it but it would have been nice to have been able to join them in the pool for a quick splash. There were lots of children splashing around leaving little space but as I work in a school we have to take holiday in the school holidays so what can I expect really? If you want a pool holiday I would choose a large hotel abroad instead.
