PRIDE OF AMERICA - NOT SO GOOD

Sail Date: August 2013
Destination: Hawaii
Embarkation: Honolulu

Our family booked this cruise as our father wanted to see the hawaiian islands on a ship. NCL was the only cruiseline that sailed to all of the islands without having to cross the pacific, so we booked 3 balcony staterooms. Six family members boarded the ship only to be disappointed. We have all cruised before but never with this cruiseline.

What we experienced was:

a)untrained waiters and servers in the dining room

b)waiters and servers arguing amongst themselves in front of us each blaming the other for incorrect food service

c)waiters who introducted themselves by saying they were tired of working 10 hour days and how lucky we were to be on a cruise

d)cabin stewards who forgot to give us towels, forgot to fill the soap dispenser in the shower, never once replaced the empty water bottle we drank on the first night of the cruise, and who could never be found or never answered his phone when we called him.

e)not so edible food, More tough meat, dry pasta

f)soup, salad and entree delivered all at once because they didn't understand how to serve a 3 course meal

g)dirty dishes piled high behind our table only to be knocked over by a server spilling water all over me and my husband.

While I will never sail with NCL again, the Hawaiian Islands were beautiful. Less
