Traveled with children

This was our families third NCL cruise, having done Dawn and Epic. Breakaway appealed to us as we have three kids under 15 and it appeared that there was alot to do. Problem is while this ship has everything, it has not enough of anything. Also, the New York/New Jersey crowd is brash, obnoxious at times, and being from the midwest, not enjoyable to be around.

First the ship-way too crowded. 4000 passengers, 1100 deck chairs, two small pools. Overall, we went to the pool one day, my kids went down the slides twice. food quality and variety was average, definitely down from previous NCL experiences. Pay restaurants a must. Lots of nickel and diming overall. Service good, not great. non pay restaurants overwhelmed. three days at sea until bermuda, boring. Bermuda was nice, but very expensive, which we were aware of prior. After bermuda, definitely boring, just not enough to do, not enough going on. The daily agenda was filled with items like "pool open" "rope course open" and many of the other activities were pay, and frequently full.

Health facility is the smallest proportional to the ship i have ever seen.
