Ship Facts: MSC Opera Review (by Cruise Critic!) | MSC Opera Deck Plans
Great cruise good value for money

No complaints about this cruise on MSC Opera, think the negative reviews have been done by cruise snobs!!!. I have sailed with Celebrity twice before and ok this cruise probably wasn't as good but for 3 of us it was 1,000 cheaper.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful, bedrooms were fine we stayed in ocean view on deck 8. Plenty of storage space, bathroom on small side and shower small but does that really matter???

Food was ok not the best, not the worst but plenty, our waiter Rozi was fantastic and if we didnt like what we'd ordered would change it for something else.

Must get a drinks package ours cost 800 for 4 of us and our bills came to 2,400 and we are not really big drinkers. Only small complaint with dining room was it was cold due to air con so make sure you take a shawl or cardigan in.

We also went with 2 teenagers who had their own room. Not loads to do for teenager

s but they made friends and we only saw them at meal times.

If going to guernsey you have to get a ticket in the morning for tender off ship. Go before breakfast as we were ticket H so by the time we got off ship we only had a couple of hours in Guernsey which was a little disappointing

Trips expensive we did our own thing. In Le Harve there is a free shuttle bus to the town centre and the beach is only 5 min walk away from centre. .

Casino ok we only went on slots but staff very friendly and explained what to do.

Formal nights men wore suits or tux we got dressed up with tux and long dresses and didn't feel out of place although some people didn't bother.

In all this was a good cruise, good value for money. It is true there are better ships but these are a lot more expensive. We are normal people who work hard and save for our holidays. I would use MSC again and wouldn't worry about all the negative reviews.
