Absolutely loved Celebrity Silhouette, and this cruise was perfect for us with a great itinerary and plenty of friends for our teenage daughters.
The staff on this ship were fantastic in all departments.
Our 'obstructed' view verandah cabins were great and the view was just fine - definitely worth the savings. We had two adjacent staterooms with a common verandah (dividing wall folds back) which was perfect for the family.
Food was very good throughout - particularly impressed with the quality of food in the buffet. For a large ship it never seemed crowded in the restaurants.
Entertainment was very good, particularly the ship's own entertainers. The finale show, a 'cirque' themed affair was excellent.
The embarkation and disembarkation processes were exceptionally speedy, courteous and fuss free.
Itinerary was superb, probably could have done with another sea day to break things up but that is only a minot complaint.
The layout of the Solstice class ships is great with plenty of public areas - never seemed crowded. I must add I am not a great fan of the Lawn Club idea (can't really see the point) I think the area would be more useful as another pool area.(The pool areas did become a little busy on sea days) Indoor pool was nice but the air con made it seem a little cool in there.
Overall we would give Celebrity Solstice a huge thumbs up - would definitely cruise with Celebrity again!
Spectacular sail in to the Grand Harbour Valletta. Explored Valletta on foot with a visit to the beautiful St Johns Co Cathedral.Very clean and easy city to walk around.
Bus trip to Sorrento with free time to explore. Great half day trip leaving time to explore Naples in the afternoon.
Easy access from Rome by rail. Excellent check in process.
