Luxury cruising that failed to deliver

We were told by the Head wine waiter , in broken english, "that as we are changing our wines every 4 to 5 years we are not printing a list"!!!
Arrived on board at 5.00pm having been held up because the streets of London closed for a cycle event, having left home at 1.30pm.....tea finished at 5.00pm no room service ss crew were due to have safety drill....no bowl of fruit in the room ....butler said " It comes later" so More nothing to eat until 7.00pm.Many other passengers like us.....we were not very happy!
Because of the language difficulties quite often our order for food was wrong.
On the daily menu, one dish was "Fresh catch of the Day" as we were in Irish and Scottish ports it seemed strange to be offered CATFISH and MAHI MAHI and other fish we have never heard of. Although they were familar to Amercian passengers. All very strange.
Entertainment was very average, one group of 6 people singing every other evening. The cruise Director gave a talk on her life in the threatre one evening ....spent far too long talking about the man in her life who 7 years ago dumped her for a younger woman.
The port trips were quite well organised although very expensive.
It was OK but not worth the money....we have found Saga the best so far.....better food, better entertainment, superior accommodation for much less money.
P.S. Remember to take your own toilet rolls and tissues ...on board you will find the paper is so thin (economy) that as they say "YOU COULD SHOOT PEAS THROUGH IT" Less
