Cabin: Large Ocean View Stateroom

For our 35th anniversary, we wanted to celebrate in style - and the Jewel of the Seas was the perfect venue. Our ocean view stateroom was clean and comfortable, the Jewel was sparkling, and the staff was outstanding.

This was our first cruise and Royal Caribbean was first-rate all the way. We selected My Time dining, which provided some flexibility in choosing a dinner time in the Tides dining room. The wait staff was superb, learning our names and beverage preferences the first day. Upon learning it was our anniversary, they brought us a special dessert and serenaded us at our table.

Besides the main dining room, there was a buffet-style dining area, the Windjammer, where you could choose from an array of hot and cold dishes - not to mention a dessert table. Staff there learned our names as well, and set aside our favorite table whenever they saw us enter the room.
