I was so looking forward to this cruise as thought it was going to be far better than any cruise lines we had travelled with before but was hugely dissappointed -Firstly the sunbeds are so close together that you have to slide off the end to get off as they are all touching each other, this was difficult for my 83year old father so most of the time he chose to sit in his wheelchair, the buffet restaurant was ok but the cold choices were exactly the same every day, they did have varied hot meals, but usually just want something cold and light at lunch times-The main restaurant the food was good but knowhere near the normal standard as other cruises I have been on including Thompsons, it was terribly rushed, as soon as starter was finished plate taken away and main put down-whilst the service was very quick we did feel they wanted us out as soon as possible and on the formal nights it seemed a waste of time getting dressed up to have a rushed dinner and then not find a seat anywhere so have to return to cabin)-The entertainment was average apart from one comedian and the singer from the Foundations-You had to get into the theatre straight after dinner to get a seat which meant hanging around for 45 minutes or so and couldn't get seats in the other venues to watch the entertainment in those areas

The amount of time spent in ports was very short (This is to save them money)and each time was very rushed having to be back on ship by 3.30pm, I do feel they should have stopped in Portugal 1st as 4 days at sea was too long

The cabins were very good-The sailaways were good (Lisbon was best one I have ever seen) Feel there should be more entertainment on deck during sea days as most entertainment was going on inside, most of the time it was just music being played which was far too loud (everyone was complaining as you couldn't hear yourself speak)I don't think I would sail with P & O again and am going to try NCL next time
