My husband and I booked with Royal Caribbean for a cruise to Iceland and the Fjords last month.

We travelled to Harwich by car as we booked to park in the port car, park. The service was brilliant from the start. Our luggage was taken and transported to the ship with no problems and the staff were extremely helpful. We were easily able to catch the connecting shuttle bus to the ship to check in.

Once we checked in which was very easy and straightforward, we were able to see our room and meet our room attendant who was lovely. The room was very clean and had everything you needed including a hair dryer. The room was cleaned twice a day and the bed was made both to an excellent standard.

When we first walked onto the ship we were presented with the Centrum. I was absolutely delighted to see how impressive it was, with the lighting effects throughout and the live band playing.

The Windjammer was brilliant. The food was very nice and you had many things to choose from.

The staff were very efficient and friendly, we always got service with a smile. We had our dinner in the minstrel dining room a few evenings and were very impressed with the waited service and how the food was presented. Every meal we has whether it was in the Windjammer or the dining room was gorgeous. Every lunchtime we had something to eat from the Park Cafe which was lovely also.

The entertainment on the ship really made the cruise more enjoyable. Steve our Cruise Director was absolutely fantastic. He knew how to get everyone to join in with any event. His entertainment staff were brilliant and were exceptionally friendly. The shows in the theatre were very good, some better than others. The two singers and the 60's group were the best acts and the RC singers and dancers really created a good show the few nights they performed.

The highlight of the entertainment was HORIZON the band. They never failed to get the passengers up singing and dancing to all the classics which they played live. It was really nice to have that type of entertainment on our holiday and would definitely be booking again with RC next year if they are performing again.

The ports we visited on the ship were brilliant. Very scenic and impressive. With regards to getting off the ship, it was very easy and straightforward. We could not fault anything with the ports and organisation from staff. They were very direct and always there if you needed to ask any questions.

We booked a trip to the Blue Lagoon on the first day in Iceland. The whole experience was fantastic. The organisation from booking the excursion on board to the coach trip there and back and the timescales we had to keep to where brilliantly planned.

All in all, the whole experience was brilliant. We could not possibly fault anything. The service was the best we have ever had on a holiday. The nice thing about cruising is that you wake up in a different place newly every day. The staff all over the ship are very friendly and make you feel welcome and the the entertainment everyday was extremely enjoyable.

We are definitely planning our next cruise for next year with Royal Caribbean. It was the best holiday we have every been on.
