We arrived in Rome the day before our cruise and took a private limo to the cruise port on August 3rd. We basically filled out a health card and walked on board - no waiting, no lines ... and into our beautiful room! We loved the balcony and found the room to be very spacious and comfortable. There was enought room to store our 2 large suitcases (one under the bed and the other in the closet), there was plenty of hangers, tons of shelves and drawers and even the bathroom had many shelves for storage! The room was fabulous! Our room steward, Nevil, dad a great job of keeping our room clean and well stocked!
We enjoyed all of the Port cities - the biggest disappointment was Genoa, as we were there on a Sunday when most of the city was closed ... I would advise an excursion for Genoa because of this. We did an excursion to Aix-en-Provence in Marseilles that we really enjoyed; Barcelona we explored on our own (with help from Rick Steve's pocket book); Palma de Mallorca we did an excursion to Valldemosa that was fabulous! Valencia we explored on our own and we were under whelmed, however, those that elected to do excursions at this Port raved about Valencia.
We enjoyed the food on the ship - Windjammer breakfasts were fast with a large variety of food. We appreciated the omelette station at the WJ. The Dining Room food was delicious for the most part but we found the service to be slow - sometimes extremely slow.
Great, comfortable spacious room!Lots of room in the closets and many shelves and drawers and cupboards. The balcony was a good size with 2 chairs and a small table.
