We were a party of five and had an adjoining cabin. We had one night pre cruise and two nights post cruise just to explore Rome. We stayed in a small hotel next to the Termini, very convenient location.

The next day we took the regional train to the port. It was an hour's ride. The train was very crowded with lots of cruisers. From the train station it was a nice 10 minutes walk to the port gate. There is the shuttle bus that take you to the ship.

Check in was a breeze. We were in our cabin after 30 minutes. The layout of the ship is the same as the Solstice which we took 2 years ago. One let down is the sky lounge. It is half the size of the Solstice because of some additional cabins they added on the port side Instead of 180 degree view we have now only 90 degree, but it is still very beautiful.
