First let me start off by saying that this is my 6th cruise overall, 5th with carnival. I really enjoyed myself and had a great time with the family.
Embarkation- very smooth and easy. The port of miami is very organized. We were on board within 30 minutes of arriving. From there we were able to go to our room right away to drop off our bags and then we headed to the lido for lunch. Tip: the first day of the cruise many people are not sure where everything is located yet. Go to the cucina del capitiano for a pasta bar lunch. It is free, there is no wait, and the make your own pasta is delicious.
Food- as usual very good. The lido buffet did feel more crowded on the breeze than on previous ships but it wasnt too bad. The longest you had to wait in line for the basic buffet is 10 minutes. Specialty options such as the deli, Guys burgers, and the blue iguana cantina had almost always no wait and are DELICIOUS. We had dinner in the blush dining room for 6:15.Our servers were amazing! Raymond was our headwaiter but also had many other tables so we rarely saw him. But, our assistant waiter Balik was fantastic. So friendly and funny. Knew our names after the first day.Our bar server I Ynoman was nice and had our soda on the table before we sat down.
The pools were nice but as usual very crowded. The waterpark was a great addition to the boat, very fun! The sportsquare was also very fun and we spent many hours up there. We went to bingo a lot and went to hasbro the game show. Both were very fun to participate in. I wish i would have been picked to play in hasbro though!
Cruise director butch was amazing! He was so energetic and fun. He also made an effort to talk to as many people as he could and be at many events throughout the week. He was also a great dancer as he hosted both deck parties.
The comedians were sometimes funny and sometimes not, but the punchliner was always full so get there early for a seat. Brits was a great musical show! The best one by far! Divas and motown were also fun, and i loved the addition of the LED background screens. There were 8 playlist performers. All were great dancers but not all were good singers. One in particular, Simone, was always off pitch.
All the ports were nice with beautiful beaches.
Lastly, a must to sign up for for the second to last sea day is the behind the fun tour. Only 16 people are allowed on the tour. They take you behind the scenes to crew only, off limit areas such as crew rooms, backstage, and the bridge. Its lots of fun and well worth the money.
Overall the cruise on the breeze was amazing and we didnt want to leave! I will DEFINITLEY be sailing with Carnival again!
