Ship Facts: Thomson Celebration Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Thomson Celebration Deck Plans
Nothing to Celebrate on The Tomson Celebration

First of all , so Disapointed with the so called upgrade to Platinum ,what a joke!

yes there havve been some changes tiled bathroom (cupboard) new curtains and a bolted down kettle, thats it , The Public areas have just had what i think is essencial Maintenance , lido deck has had the better changes with a few sofas and better chairs but upstairs old tierd white plastic patio chairs and tables ,the Sunbeds are old with no matresses as promised no parasols as promised.

The Food ....where do i start , if you go in the Meridian Restaurant you have to que for ever Thomson have decided that open seating is the way forward ...but everyone wants to go at the same time the que was back to reception just to get a table , to get in a restaurant that was built for 2 sittings , when it was 2 sittings you had the same table same waiter who you got to know AND You had a Table Garuanteed without waiting.

We Couldnt wait my husband is Diabetic and had to eat , so you end up in the only other option the canteen ....sry Lido help yourself slide along with a Tray , The food was quite frankly Cheap Basic and Tasteless , No other word for it Just AWFUL , Its free for all , the food has gone worse we went on Majesty last year it was amazing the food was terrific Lobster tails Sirloins different league altogether .

in The Bars , theyve cut back with soft drinks and mixers they used to give you a can with your spirits now its out of bottles or half used cans its usually flat if you want a can you have to pay even on all inclusive ! CRAZY

They say its Platinum and Upgraded But all they are doing is Cutting back !

All Inclusive should mean All Inclusive .

Entertainment Was Okay , The show team were good , but you never seen them off stage they dont mix/mingle like past years , The Cruise Director Steve Something was like a Ghost ...The only time we saw him was at his "Lock In" which he advertised and everyone else advertised all week he Pushed it more than any other event , Was Basically a pub sing song We Had to walk out when he started singing the alice song and blatently used discussting Language and got everyone else to use foul Language it was like being in a tacky Holiday camp , Discusting ,

Gavin Carol is our favourite he is amazing a true professional a very nice person he sat with us and bought us a drink a people person.

The shows Michael Jackson and queen were great and new thank god as all the others weve seen over and over .

The Guest Comedian Phil Doyle was fantastic we have seen him before on Majesty and Destiny , and always makes us laugh hes a lovely man and 100% clean with no smut, Entertainment wise he saved things really .

The Ports were the best laugh of all , We as most people on that cruise went on this cruise for the unusual itinery , but we only had a few hrs in ukraine romania and bulgaria , every one complained its pathetic no time to explore half days ...?

week 2 was better and softened the blow kussadassi mykanos were our favourites

istanbul was interesting athens very hot but nice we didnt go to lesbos as planned and went to dikkili a turkish island with nothing whatsoever there just bars restaurants waste of a day .

All in all its been a Bad experience we have decided not to go with Thomson again...which is sad but they are going backwards when you spend a lot of money on your only holiday of the year to have this experience ...No Thank you
