This was our first cruise and the most wonderful experience in every way. It was our 10th Wedding Anniversary and we were travelling without our 3 children (although we plan to book again very soon and take the kids with us - they will love it!)
The ground staff in Sydney was professional and upbeat and had us excited from the very beginning. We then 'boarded' the ship, and the 'buzz' from the very first minutes was contagious!
The staff members across the whole ship, from cabin stewards, cleaners, service staff, and entertainers were all incredibly hardworking and professional but it was their smiles, friendly greetings and general warmth and enthusiasm that helped make the whole cruise so memorable.
We loved the mix of passengers - all ages, families, groups, couples, etc., etc.
The scheduled daily activities were varied and plentiful. You could be as busy or as relaxed as you wanted to be.
And as for the food..? We had only positive experiences. Whether it was the huge variety for breakfast & lunch buffets, or the quality dining at the Waterfront Restaurant. Food quality, presentation and service were impeccable - and all included in the fare price!
Fair to say, we loved it and cannot wait to go again.
Aqua Spa was inexplicably expensive. Staff members were cold & abrupt (compared to staff on the rest of the ship). If you weren't spending money there it was generally an uncomfortable place to be.
Was a little chilly for us (South Pacific in July) - low 20s temps - but we come from the Top End where we usually have 30+ temps. In light of that, we might try a Sept/Oct cruise next time, for slightly warmer weather.
We had booked paddle boarding which was cancelled that morning and we only found out once we got off in Noumea. So instead, we took a bus tour to a couple of 'high points' around the town on the way to Anse Vata Beach.
