With some trepidation after the heavy European flooding which caused so many river cruise cancellations we headed towards our departure point in Nuremberg For our Romantic Danube cruise and were relieved to see the ship ready and waiting.

This was our first ever cruise, river or ocean, and it was just fantastic from start to finish. We could not fault Viking, staff were fantastic, everything ran like clockwork, tours and guides were terrific, entertainment high quality, ship was clean and beautiful, and we just loved visiting so many amazing places we had never seen before. Budapest was the icing on the cake as the last port and point of departure, what an amazing city.

We enjoyed meeting lots of different people, contrary to some reviews where people complain about not being able to reserve seating for dinner, we actually found it refreshing to sit with different couples each night and make new acquaintances.

Cabin Review

Cabin VS

Veranda suite- plenty of space, great to have the extra room, lovely to sit and watch the world go by, quiet, very close to lounge and dining room, bathroom and dressing space above expectation
